Qualification Purpose: This qualification is designed for learners who work in, or who want to work in, the private security sector as a professional investigator. The qualification is based on the Security Industry Authority (SIA) specifications for core competency training for private investigators.
The qualification comprises of 2 Units;
U1 – Principles of Planning and Reporting Investigations
U2 – Principles of Gathering and Using Information for Investigations
Assessment: This qualification is assessed by the following methods: multiple choice exam questions (onscreen). Learners must achieve 70% correct answers to pass the exams.
Pre-requisites:
1. Learners should have at least a Level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent
2. Learners should be at least 18 years old in order to undertake the qualification
3. Learners need to be able to provide at least one form of photographic identification or two forms of non-photographic identification.
