Qualification Purpose: This qualification is designed for all staff working directly with the public, ranging from cleaners, security, shop workers, customer service, CCTV Operators and anyone who has a vested interest in keeping people safe in the face of current and modern threats to society. This qualification provides the learner with the tools to be able to detect anomalous behaviours which may lead to; theft, terrorism, assault, fraud, unlawful protests and other crimes that can occur within modern society.
The qualification comprises of 1 Unit, An Introduction to Behaviour Detection Analysis which contains 4 x Learning Outcomes (LO):
LO1 – Know the basic concepts of behaviour detection
LO2 – Understand how to establish a baseline
LO3 – Recognise anomalous behaviours
LO4 – Understand the purposes and outcomes of resolution conversations
Assessment: This qualification is assessed by the following methods: multiple choice exam questions. Learners must achieve 70% correct answers to pass the exams.
Pre-requisites:
1. Learners should have at least a Level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent
2. Learners should be at least 18 years old in order to undertake the qualification
3. Learners need to be able to provide at least one form of photographic identification or two forms of non-photographic identification.
Progression Opportunities: Learners can progress on to the following qualifications:
1. Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators.
